Rory Best will be out until next year after fracturing his arm in the last gasp defeat to New Zealand on Sunday.
The 31 year old hooker sustained the injury in the first half of the game but played on for a further four minutes before leaving the field.
Best has had surgery on the arm on Tuesday morning, with a plate and screws inserted, and he later tweeted the following:
Op went well. Thanks 2 all the staff at the #ulsterhospital 4 looking after me. #fixed pic.twitter.com/4KlW2pKiAz

While his chances of playing in the Six Nations are good, Best will miss Ulster’s Heineken Cup games against Treviso and Montpellier at the very least.
