Scrum half Mike Phillips is the latest Welshman to join Racing Metro 92, joining compatriots Dan Lydiate and Jamie Roberts at the French club.
The 31 year old previously played with Aviron Bayonnais in the Top 14 but was fired back in October for breaching of club rules after he apparently showed up an analysis session under the influence of alcohol.
With 80 caps for Wales and 11 British and Irish Lions appearances, Phillips brings a wealth of experience to Racing Metro and will form a very strong half back partnership with Irishman Jonathan Sexton.
He is expected to debut against Harlequins in the Heineken Cup this weekend.
Great first day in Paris, can’t wait to start with my new club @RacingMetro92 tomorrow. Looking forward to the next 2.5 years !
